Kevin Ryder is back on the airwaves of 106.7 The World Famous KROQ. The former co-host of The Kevin & Bean Show, returns to KROQ to host weekday afternoons from 3pm-7pm the station announced on Wednesday April 2.

Ryder takes over the afternoon show on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. as current host Megan Holiday moves to weekday nights.

Kevin Weatherly, senior vice president of programming at KROQ released the following statement through Audacy, the station's parent company, regarding Ryder's return home to the Roq:

"Kevin Ryder is a Radio Hall of Fame Broadcaster who spent most of his adult life waking up SoCal with his former partner Bean. Their authentic and irreverent morning show is legendary, and I’ve had the privilege of having a front-row seat for the majority of it. Kevin’s return to KROQ in afternoons is a full circle moment in the best way possible", the statement conluded.

In 2019, after almost 20 years, Baxter announced his departure from mornings on KROQ in early 2019, with his last show being November 7 of that year. However the show continued on with new episodes and Baxter's nickname still billed in the title until January 2, 2020.

In 2021, Ryder moved to classic rock station KLOS (95.5 FM) as its afternoon host, where he worked with former KROQ DJ Doug “Sluggo” Roberts until their show was axed in September 2024.
