3 Doors Down vocalist Brad Arnold announced that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 clear cell renal carcinoma, a form of kidney cancer that has metastasized to his lungs. The aoouncement was made in a video posted on the band's Instagram account:
"Got some not so good news for you today," Arnold, 46, shared "I was sick a couple weeks ago, went to the hospital, got checked out and actually got the diagnosis that I had clear cell renal carcinoma that had metastasized into my lung."
This diagnosis has led to the cancellation of 3 Doors Down's planned 2025 summer tour. Despite the severity of his condition, Arnold has expressed a positive outlook, citing his strong faith and lack of fear. He referenced the band's 2008 hit “It's Not My Time” as a source of hope during this challenging period.
